Any oil marked "combination hydraulic and transmission oil" is fine. Napa sells it, Walmart sells it, heck just about anybody that sells oil will have it. Any of the reputable brands will have the spec. equivalents right on the container, e.g. Hytran, Hyguard, Deere 303, Deere J14C, etc.
Join Date: June 2012. Posts: 35. I have a ~1981 JohnDeere 3140 with hydraulic problems. I have replaced the filter, cleaned the screen and replaced the oil. The spool valves are generating about 180-200bar (2800-2900psi) at idle, my gauge was only rated to 150bar so I've a larger one on order. The pressure is constant and instant.
